Bedazzled (1967)

This mind-bending comedy classic stars Dudley Moore as "Stanley," a short-order cook who is so shy, his only option to get close to the woman he worships is to sell his soul to the devil (Peter Cook). Cook is the show-stealer as the devil (who, curiously, is named "George"), and there are numerous other "guest" appearances: Raquel Welch as "Lust" and Barry Humphries as "Envy." Cook is mischievously marvelous as he torments Moore throughout the film despite granting him seven wishes to win his love (Eleanor Bron). Cook wrote the screenplay, Moore wrote the music, and the film was produced and directed by Stanley Donen.
